Tickets for concerts except Carol Concerts are £12, with a £10 concessionary rate and these are available on the door, or from The National Centre for Early Music, St. Margaret’s Church, Walmgate, York YO1 9TL Tel 01904 658338, or by emailing boxoffice@ncem.co.uk Children of school age can buy a ticket on the door for £5. This does not apply for the Carols concerts.

Tickets for Carols by Candlelight are £13 with no concessions, and are only available from the Minster on the 29th November between 8.00-9.00am, or as part of a season ticket (click here for details about season tickets). We have a very large number of season ticket holders, each of whom is able to book two carols tickets in advance, so the tickets available for sale on 29 November are strictly limited. We cannot guarantee that those who queue for tickets on this day will be successful, and in the past many have been disappointed. If you want to be sure of a Carols by Candlelight ticket, we would strongly recommend that you buy a season ticket.

If you wish to buy a ticket on 29 November, please form a queue outside the West Door of the Minster. Doors open at 7.00am, but most people arrive earlier than this. Tickets are limited to a maximum of four per person. We can only accept cash or cheques with a guarantee card. No telephone or postal bookings.
